Modo Vacaciones is a digital platform designed to tackle the challenges of booking temporary rentals in Argentina’s unique economic landscape. With inflation impacting pricing and hidden fees making holiday rentals unpredictable, our goal was to create a transparent, user-centric experience for booking holiday homes without worrying about hidden costs or added taxes. The result is a reliable solution for both property owners and vacationers seeking clarity and fairness.
The Challenge
The economic instability in Argentina and the prevalence of hidden costs have created significant distrust in the temporary rental market. Users often face price discrepancies and unexpected fees during the booking process. The main challenge was to design an interface and booking flow that would establish transparency and regain user confidence in a context where economic fluctuations heavily influence consumer decisions.
The Process
We began with comprehensive research to understand the frustrations users face when booking holiday accommodations in Argentina. This included user interviews, market analysis, and usability tests to map out pain points in the rental journey. Once the core issues were identified, the focus shifted towards crafting a seamless booking experience. We prioritized features like clear pricing breakdowns, accessible filtering options, and streamlined payment flows. During the design phase, we continuously tested prototypes with users, refining the interface based on feedback to enhance clarity and trust.

The final design of Modo Vacaciones offers users a transparent and straightforward booking experience. Clear pricing breakdowns and detailed cost summaries eliminate the risk of hidden fees. Additionally, the platform’s user-friendly interface enables effortless property browsing and comparison, while straightforward filters help users find exactly what they need. By placing a strong emphasis on transparency and usability, we successfully addressed user pain points and redefined holiday booking in an economically turbulent market.
